Sustainable Mattresses: Sleeping The Smart Way

Onboard Comfort

While we talked about alternatives to single-use plastics in our latest update, there are also many other ways to make an impact.

When it comes to textiles, comfort items that are mostly made of natural materials and sustainable methods have huge benefits to both the sleeper and the environment.

At SPIRIANT, we know there’s a way to combine smart products with sustainability, so let’s have a look at one example from our product portfolio…

Our 3D mattress is made out of Tencel, an innovative sustainable fabric that’s regenerated from wood cellulose. A fiber directly from nature, it’s soft to the skin and smooth to the touch so passengers will still experience a high level of comfort.

The use of resources and energy consumption for production are reduced to a minimum, so airlines and passengers can be confident in the knowledge that emissions are low.

A Smart Product

The special 3D knitting process for the Tencel mattress creates a unique pressure release system, for optimal passenger comfort and thermoregulation.

The material itself is smart in that it’s more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen. To ensure smooth operations, it’s space-saving and lightweight.

There are a number of ways for airlines to switch to sustainable options that always have high quality and value in mind. Speak to our sales team for more information and make sure to follow our updates under #ConsciousTravel.OnboardComfort-Materess-Tencil
